The war against illegal migrants seems to be far from over after police on Tuesday night arrested 10 Cameroonians in Buruburu.

The 10 were destined for the Middle East where they were going to seek for employment.

Nairobi police boss Joseph Ole Mitito said that the 10 lacked proper documentation to show how they were in the country.

TO BE DEPORTED

Over the weekend police arrested 169 foreigners in different parts of the city.

Immigration officials said that all of them will be deported anytime from Wednesday.

More than 1,800 foreigners have been arrested since the government announced a crackdown on illegal migrants.

Kenya seem to be an easy destination for illegal migrants and fewer emigrants.

PERMANENT SETTLEMENT

A recent UN report ranked Kenya among the top five African Countries that have the highest number of immigrants from regions outside the continent.

It said that Kenya was home to one million immigrants which ranks it at the same position with Ethiopia.

It accredited the huge number of immigrants in Kenya to the fact that many Asians travel into the country as workers and end up settling permanently.
