Thank you and goodbye, Aucho tells Tusker

Tusker midfielder Khalid Aucho has officially bid farewell to his former club, a week after completing his widely publicized move to Gor Mahia.

The Ugandan national joined the brewers as a virtual unknown from Uganda’s Simba two seasons ago, and has since enjoyed a highly successful spell at the Ruaraka based club, performances that saw him become enlisted as a first team member of the Uganda Cranes first eleven.

“Thanks for giving me an opportunity to show my ability, thanks for everything tuskerfc I wish you all the best in this year’s Kenya premier league bye bye ilove you all and may God bless you all.” the player wrote on his official Facebook page on Saturday, moments after formalizing the move.

Aucho is said to have left Tusker after failing to agree on terms to renew his deal.

It is believed the two parties were wide apart in personal terms, with the player keen on about Sh. 1.8 million as sign on fees, which Gor were glad to offer, with Tusker FC only willing to pay at most a third of that fee.

Aucho, whose move to the league champions was also delayed as he ironed out other personal matters with suggestions he had received Sh 400,000 from Sofapaka, now joins the K’Ogalo midfield as a direct replacement for his compatriot Geoffrey “Baba” Kizito who departed for paid ranks in Vietnam.
