Ino ni Momo singer tops google searches in Kenya
The late Murimi wa Kahalf was the most searched personality online in Kenya according to the latest trend searches report by Google.
The ‘Ino ni Momo’ hitmaker died on June 4 after a long illness prompting Kenyans online to search for more information about his death.
The second most searched personality was Caitlyn Jenner, formerly Bruce and Kim Kardashian’s stepfather.
His gender transformation and debut as a woman in Vanity Fair Magazine became a top trend globally and in Kenya more people on line searched more about him.
Sergio Ramos, Real Madrid defender earned the third position following Manchester United’s £28.6 million bid to sign him.
The transfer news have so far stirred confusion amongst football fans in Madrid and Old Trafford after his mother, Paqui Ramos stated that the her son would not be moving to Manchester.
Embattled Monica Juma was the fourth most searched personality in the country after parliamentary committee on National Administration and Security rejected her nomination for the position of the Secretary to the Cabinet.

Kim Kardashian was fifth after she announced her second pregnancy through her reality TV show as well as her social media platform.
The YouTube man, Julius Yego, came in sixth after he set a new African record in javelin.
Others who were in the top ten personality searches in June in Kenya were footballer Roberto Firmino owing to his transfer news to Liverpool, Ruby Rose for her role in TV series Orange is the new Black.
Rachel Dolezal the former head of the Spokane National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Chapter was searched due to the black and white racial debate and Thomas Evans the British Al Shabaab who was killed in Lamu closed the top ten list.
On general searches Copa America topped the list followed by Murimi wa Kahalf, Caitlyn Jenner then Father’s Day that was celebrated in June.
The Uefa Champions League final between Barcelona and Juventus was in the searches as well as NBA final, played between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.
Uefa Euro 2016 qualifying match between Ireland and Scotland was also among the top general searches.
