Club Legend in Ongata Rongai razed down by fire
Fans awaiting to watch a football match at a popular club in Nairobi’s Ongata Rongai on Sunday had to seek alternative ways after their favourite joint was razed down by fire.
The fire which was reportedly caused by an electric fault burnt Club Legend to ashes. The popular club is located in the centre of the town that is on the outskirt of Nairobi.
Eye witnesses say the fire started at around 5:40pm and that very little was salvaged. However, there are no major casualties reported.
And since the building was mainly constructed with wood, it took a very short time before the pub was brought down to ashes.
The football fans were waiting watch the English Premier League match between Manchester City and Chelsea which the former won 3-0.
