Ahmed Bahajj, celebrated sports anchor quits KTN News
KTN News sports anchor Ahmed Bahajj has left the the Standard Media Group-owned TV station.
While making the announcement on his official Facebook page, Mr Bahajj, however, did not announce his next move.
“After working for 4 years and 6 months at KTN News as an anchor and a reporter, I take this opportunity to inform my fans that it is time to quit the station,” Bahajj said.
Bahajj is known for his Swahili eloquence in anchoring sports news and commentary.

He becomes the latest journalist to leave Standard Media Group this year. Others who have also left are Ali Hassan Kauleni, Sharon Momanyi, Beatrice Maganga and Linda Oriaso.
Mr Bahajj lauded KTN News and the Standard Media Group at large for nurturing his career since he joined the media industry.
“It is a great honor working with one of the best media organizations in the country. I am leaving a proud journalist,” Bahajj said.

During his time at KTN News Bahajj hosted Zilizala Viwanjani sports show, Kipi Sijasikia and Paruwanja Kura ya Maoni ya Mwananchi.
Through his mastery and understanding of sports matters, Bahajj brought to the public limelight talents by featuring them on KTN News.
The Kenyan industry has in recent years been destabilized by the hard economic times.
High taxation has also affected most businesses in the country, as the private sector bears the burden.
