All about Rwandese gospel singer Israel Mbonyi’s Sh20K concert in Kenya
Renowned Rwandese singer Israel Mbonyi has officially announced the dates for his highly anticipated Kenyan concert, and the pricing of the tickets has raised eyebrows.
The award-winning artist, known for his hit song “Nina Siri,” took to social media to inform Kenyan fans about his upcoming performance in Nairobi.
Mbonyi will be gracing the stage at The Africa Worship Experience on August 10, 2024, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex along Lang’ata Road.
Tickets for the event are now on sale. Prices are as follows: first class VVIP tickets are Sh20,000, VVIP tickets will go for Sh12,000, VIP tickets Sh8,000, and ordinary tickets Sh3,000.
This event marks a significant moment for Mbonyi, who has longed to perform in Kenya.
“Hello, beautiful people of Kenya, this is Israel Mbonyi and I have good news to share. I’m thrilled to announce that I’m coming to Kenya this year 2024. I will be performing live in Nairobi at the Africa Worship Experience on the 10th of August 2024 at the Ulinzi Sports Complex along Lang’ata road,” Mbonyi announced.
Mbonyi further highlighted a special connection he feels with Kenya, attributing his success in part to the unwavering support from his Kenyan fans.
“Kenya holds a special place in my heart and I’m super grateful for your support. You have been the number one supporter of my ministry for the last few years and I’m super grateful for you guys. The time has come for us to worship together live in person. It has always been my dream to come to Kenya and finally, I’m coming. I can’t wait to be with you all, so invite your friends,” he added.
Who is Israel Mbonyi?
Israel Mbonyi has left an indelible mark on the gospel music scene since the beginning of his career.
Born to Christian parents in the Democratic Republic of Congo on May 20, 1992, Mbonyi’s musical journey began at a tender age, receiving early training from a music teacher during his childhood.
He introduced his talent to the world with the release of his debut song ‘Number One’ on March 10, 2014, coinciding with his first album of the same name in the same year.
On March 10, Mbonyi celebrated a decade in music.
With a degree in pharmacy from India, Mbonyi’s dedication to music led him to pursue it as a profession.
Most of his songs are in Kinyarwanda, but in 2023, he expanded his horizons by venturing into Swahili music.
His breakthrough hit ‘Nina Siri’, released on June 26, 2023, received widespread acclaim and resonated with audiences across East Africa, particularly in Tanzania and Kenya.
The song has more than 47 million views on YouTube.
