Amber Ray: Alai using my name for content

Socialite Amber Ray has hit back at Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly (MCA) Robert Alai who had referenced her in controversial taste.

In a tweet, Alai suggested that Azimio leader Raila Odinga was not interested in a handshake with President William Ruto, and was definitely not as uncertain as Amber Ray.

His sentiments got to the socialite who shot back and suggested she was popular enough to be ignored.

“Pia politicians mkikosa content mnatumia jina yangu? Amber Ray is a movement.”

Amber Ray has in the recent past curved a reputation as a pretty lady who has no problem finding herself a man. She however, clearly experiences challenges keeping one.

Alai made his point in reference to politicians allied to President William Ruto led by National Assembly Majority leader Kimani Ichungwa who suggested Mr Odinga, who lost in the August 2022 polls, was after a stake in government.

Ichungwa explained the bipartisan approach to dialogue with the opposition called upon by President William Ruto seeks to take care of the country’s interests rather than that of a single person.

“President Ruto had not yet met with Mr Odinga but I can confirm to you there is no handshake.”

Further, Moses Wetangula, Speaker of the National Assembly, has urged Mr Odinga to first recognize the legitimacy of President Ruto’s government before the duo can sit down to talk.

“If you say we are illegitimate then we have no business talking with you,” he added. Alai shot back at Wetangula saying that Azimio leaders and supporters were comfortable in protests.

Mr Odinga has in the recent past been demonstrating against the high cost of living, the opening of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision (IEBC) servers to supposedly find out the winner of the August 2022 polls, and the reinstatement of the four electoral commissioners forced out of office on accusations they attempted to block Dr Ruto’s path to the presidency.
