Instagram influencer Amber Ray, born Faith Makau, got engaged on November 10, 2022, after her boyfriend, Kennedy Rapudo, proposed marriage to her during a birthday extension trip to Dubai.

The surprise engagement took place days after the duo officially introduced each other to their families- a move they said was the next step in making their commitment to each other more serious.

As the celeb couple’s friends and fans congratulated them, many of Amber’s followers were quick to troll one of her infamous exes- Jimal Marlow alias Rohosafi, the Chairman of the Association of Matatu Operators.

They were an infamous couple as they dated despite Jimal having a wife and children; and went on to become embroiled in one scandal after the other as they publicly humiliated his estranged wife, Amira.

Amber and Jimal broke up after he began seeking out his estranged wife just after Amber told him she was carrying their child.

Just as they caused a storm with their relationship, their breakup was equally hot fodder for blogs.

Amber would later date a string of men before she met and fell in love with Kennedy Rapudo months after breaking up with Jimal. It, therefore, came as no surprise when Amber’s fans trolled Jimal for ‘wasting’ Amber Ray and told him as much in the following sentiments sampled by Nairobi News after Amber posted a photo of herself and captioned it, “A million apologies to myself for letting too much slide.”

“The matatu chairman hasn’t posted on his feed so that we can wake his ulcers up. He’s waiting for Amber to return so that he can post…let him feel bad somewhere else,” said Vesh K, to which others responded by saying that Jimal made Amber go through a really hard time.

“Jimal tied you down with a Mombasa vacation, atleast Kennedy is helping you globe trot. Congratulations,” said Doreen Cindy.

“There was a time you probably felt like you could have sat in a dark corner patiently waiting for him…instead of all the insults from Syokimau until your voice disappeared for a week,” laughed Kajuju Mbiriti.

Amber and Kennedy broke up in August 2022 after dating for seven weeks. She cited they had irreconcilable differences and wouldn’t force a relationship if it wasn’t meant to be.

On his part, Kennedy was seen defending Amber’s honor after people warned him against dating a woman with a dating history such as hers.

They later got back together in October 2022 and failed at hiding that they were reconciling. Keen Kenyans quickly noticed that their social media postings matched, especially when they went away on secret vacations or hang out together.

Amber eventually confirmed they were back together and hoped to make things work the second time.
