3 Celebrities set to wed in December this year
By Freya WanjikuAmid the festive glow of twinkling lights and the scent of evergreen Christmas trees adorning our homes, December remains a cherished wedding season.
In this heartwarming year-end, when families and friends gather for joyous celebrations, three celebrity couples have chosen the twelfth month to embark on a journey of eternal love.
In a dazzling display of star-studded romance, these couples are poised to state their vows, pledging their unwavering love for each other before both their adoring fans and the watchful eyes of heaven.
The Bahatis
Music sensation Kevin Kioko, popularly known as Bahati, had earlier declared that the 12th of December 2023 would be the day he and Diana Marua exchanged their vows officially.
Back in June, when he got down on one knee to propose, the Adhiambo hitmaker joyously shared the news with the world, saying, “She said yes, and I officially announce that the 12th of December 2023 is our wedding day.”
To celebrate their seven years of togetherness and as one of his heartfelt gifts to her, Bahati arranged a private ruracio ceremony at an undisclosed location.
Nonetheless, their journey to this point had seen them have a traditional wedding in 2017. Diana had explained that they chose to delay their white wedding so that their children could fully grasp the significance of their parents taking that special walk down the aisle before formalizing their commitment to one another.
Nicholas Kioko and Ashley
After joyfully welcoming their twins in February, the well-known YouTuber Nicholas Kioko and his beloved partner, Ashley, added another chapter of excitement to their journey together. They happily announced that they would be exchanging vows this coming December.
In a charming invitation card, this adoring couple revealed that their wedding is scheduled for the last Saturday of December 2023.
The invitation elegantly read, “N. Kioko and Ashley cordially invite you to join them for their wedding ceremony on Saturday, the 29th of December 2023, at 10:00 a.m.”
However, sharp-eyed fans couldn’t help but notice a minor inconsistency—the date mentioned on the card didn’t align with the day of the week, as December 29th actually falls on a Friday.
Mummie Francie and Godfrey Andy
TikTok sensation Mummie Francie has exciting news to share as she prepares for her second traditional wedding, set for December 24th, 2023, just like last year’s celebration.
Known as Francisca Mbaye in real life, Mummie marked her matrimonial journey last year with a traditional wedding at Namutsula Village in Matayos town, Busia County. The theme of that memorable day was a striking blend of black with a touch of gold.
Similarly, this year, Mummie took to her TikTok account to announce, “Can’t believe history is going to repeat itself this year, same date but a different location—Tanzania, my mama’s land.”
While the outspoken social media influencer has not yet unveiled the specific do’s and don’ts for this year’s celebration, in 2022, she had some unique requirements. Attendees were asked to contribute an amount equivalent to the food they intended to enjoy, dress in stylish attire, and bring money rather than traditional gifts.
She also issued a playful warning to anyone contemplating gossiping about her on her special day, promising that she wouldn’t hesitate to give them a memorable lesson in etiquette.
