Babu Owino threatens to expel jobless youths from his constituency

Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has urged unemployed youths from his constituency to enroll in programs or he will expel them.

The legislator says the youths have no option other than enroll in vocational institutions where they will get training.

The first time MP insists that all the jobless youth in Embakasi East must get in the training funded by CDF.

“Youths will be trained to be saloonists, plumbers, electricians, barbers, drivers, carpenters, masons… etc. All these will be paid using money from CDF. Refusal to get trained or schooling yet not employed, will attract a severe punishment of being expelled from Embakasi East constituency,” the MP wrote on his Facebook page.

The controversial MP, whose win has been petitioned in court, further warned youths who are not in school and refuse to take up the opportunity and enroll for training will be expelled from the constituency.

The legislator launched the program to award bursaries to his constituent’s particularly the needy families that struggle to raise school fees.

He also reiterated that the program will benefit everyone in the constituency irrespective of tribe or political affiliation.
