Baby mama? How Samidoh publicly introduces Karen Nyamu at funeral
By Freya WanjikuKenyan musician Samidoh born Samuel Muchoki recently introduced Senator Karen Nyamu as his baby mama at a public function.
In a video seen by Nairobi News, the musician is heard telling a gathering at a funeral to allow ‘mama Wairimu ‘ to come and say hi.
Beatrice is one of the controversial couple’s kids.
“Mother to Wairimu come and greet people before we return the microphone to the (MC) Master of Ceremony,” says Samidoh in vernacular.
“Praise God! Wave at me. My name is Karen Njeri and I am a Senator in this country,” Nyamu responded.
Amid consistent controversial scenes, the state of relationship between Samidoh and Nyamu remains unknown and is said to fluctuate between baby mama, second wife, and friends depending on the occasion.
This is the first time the two have been seen in public since Samidoh’s wife Edday spoke about her troubled marriage with the singer.
Through her social media platforms, Edday, who has three kids with Samidoh, described the last three years of her marriage with Samidoh as ‘painful’.
She narrated how she’d endured pain and humiliation in her marriage but her silence had been taken for granted.
“I have helped you nature your talent and supported you through it all, but one thing I have said to you and I am saying here again I will not raise my kids in a polygamy family, especially with a woman who is older than me by more than 10 years, has no morals and zero respect to my family,” she said.
Samidoh and Nyamu spoke at Geoffrey Mwathi’s funeral.
The deceased recently passed on in unclear circumstances. Police are investigating the incident.
Samidoh and Nyamu have had a romantic relationship filled by controversy.
Nyamu has on several occasions announced the end of their romance only to be seen with her baby daddy. Samidoh, meanwhile, publicly apologised after announcing he is the father of Nyamu’s first child, describing the whole episode as a ‘mistake’.
