There is a new chapati recipe in town that is freaking out food enthusiasts on social media.

This after a picture of what appears to be chapati’s in an unfamiliar pinkish/reddish colour was shared online user who goes by the name @mmjug.

Kenyans are known for their love for chapatis, which come either white or brown colours, but the ‘beetroot chapos’ have left many of them speculating on the ingredients that might have gone into making them.

Chapati is a common meal in Kenya which is made using wheat flour, water, cooking oil and salt.
