Residents of Umoja II estate on Monday blocked a section of Moi Drive Road to protest its poor condition.

The angry residents blocked the road by burning bonfires as they engaged anti-riot police in running battles.

Buruburu OCPD Geoffrey Mayeke confirmed to Nairobi News that the 7am chaos affected commuters going to work.

A picture of the chaos posted on Facebook elicited angry reaction from netizens who blamed the county government for the deteriorating state of roads in the estate.

Here is a sample of their responses.
