Comedian YY’s wife shares medical condition that left her on wheelchair
By Amina WakoThe wife of comedian YY, born Oliver Otieno, has shared an update on her health.
Marya Okoth has been in and out of hospital after developing a rare condition that caused her leg to go numb.
As a result, the ailment has limited the mother of one’s movements and she has mostly been confined to a wheelchair.
“I woke up one day and I realized I couldn’t move my left leg totally. I later realized I got blood clots in my left leg,” she explained.
“My man has been so supportive in taking care of me in hospital. I hope to walk again soon.”
The medical condition has left her unable to walk.
“This is a great turning point in my life. I never thought a day would come when ad (sic) be unable to walk totally. This life is full of surprises; you can just wake up, and everything changes without caution. However, I know this is going to be a testimony. I will never take any life privilege for granted.”
In videos she’s been sharing on social media, the Churchill Show comedian is seen helping around the house and massaging her leg, something Marya is grateful for.
“God bless this man for me please,” Marya captioned the video.
