CS Najib Balala in mourning over the death of the brother – VIDEO

Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife, Najib Balala is mourning the death of his elder brother.

“It is with great sadness to announce the death of my eldest brother, Sheikh Salim Mohamed Abdallah Balala.

The late Sheikh Salim is father to Salaah Balala, Abdallah Balala, Taufiq Balala, Mohammed Balala and 3 daughters,” Balala posted on his social media platforms.

Sheikh Salim Mohamed Abdallah Balala was a nominated Member of Parliament and also an assistant minister in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning during the late President Jomo Kenyatta’s administration between 1966-1974.

Balala announced too that his eldest brother will be buried today at Kikowani Muslim cemetery after holding funeral prayers at Shibu Mosque -Mwembe Tayari Mombasa from 10 a.m.

“Funeral prayers will be held at Shibu Mosque – Mwembe Tayari Mombasa @ 10 am 1st September 2022 and burial at Kikowani Muslim cemetery thereafter. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un (Indeed, to God we belong and to God we shall return)”

His followers have joined in sending messages of condolences following the demise of his elder brother.

Kenyans took to the comment section to condole with the family of Balala.

Osman Gothad wrote, “To Allah, we belong and to Him, we shall return. May Allah have mercy on him, accord him the highest level of Jannah and give you the family fortitude to withstand this calamity.”

Abu Yusuf Feisal added, “Inna lillahi waina ilehi Rajiun. My condolences to you and the entire Balala family. May Allah Grant him Jannah Tul Firdaus and forgive all his Sins. Allahuma Ameen Ya Rabb.”
