Two Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) rangers on Tuesday stumbled on six decomposing bodies at Kanga area in Tsavo West National Park, a kilometre away from the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
Detectives from Mtito Andei Police Station, who visited the scene, said the bodies appeared to have been partly burned and scattered around.
The two officers, Mark Lesido and James Simiti, who discovered the bodies, said they encountered a foul smell and upon reaching the area they saw the bodies.
NAKED BODIES
All six male bodies were naked with no identification. They were dumped about a kilometer away from the main Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
Police suspect the victims were murdered elsewhere and dumped within the National Park.
Detectives said they had visited the area, photographed and taken the bodies to Makindu Hospital for postmortem and identification.
The case has been file under the OB 11/26/3/2019 and investigations into the killings have commenced.
