Media personality Muthoni Mukiri recently marked the second anniversary of her marital bliss with her husband Isaac, reflecting on their journey since their lavish wedding ceremony in November 2021.

In an exclusive interview with Nairobi News, the mother of one shared insights into her relationship, including the pivotal moment when she introduced Isaac to her father.

Mukiri expressed confidence in her choice, making the introduction a seamless and joyful experience.

“I was eager to introduce him to my parents because I knew I had made the right choice.”

She also talked about men trying to woo her for a date before she got married.

“People recognized me from TV back then. My DMs used to be about compliments and date invitations. Now, in the mental health space, I receive messages from women in difficult relationships,” Mukiri disclosed.

Reflecting on their grand wedding, Mukiri clarified misconceptions about its scale, stating that it was not as extravagant as perceived.

She emphasized that the event was a culmination of shared dreams, careful planning, and savings over an extended period.

“People say my wedding was big, but it was not. I have a particular taste, and it didn’t cost as much as people might think. However, we had been saving for a long time for this moment.

It was a shared dream, and sometimes, it’s worth spending on the things you love. I can honestly say that the best wedding I’ve ever attended was my own. It exceeded my dreams, and I knew exactly what I wanted. I wish I could do it all over again. We often reminisce about that perfect day,” Mukiri fondly reminisced.

On how the two met, Muthoni said she had attended a party invited by her friends and lucky for her she met her ideal man.

“A friend of mine invited me to a ‘chama party. ‘ I took my friend Teacher Wanjiku, and we went to the party in the evening around 7 pm,” said Muthoni.
