Fleeing gangsters knock down, kill 9-year-old boy after robbing pastors

A 9-year-old boy was on Saturday morning killed in the wake of a brazen robbery by a gang of two on a group of pastors in Kiambu County.

The incident happened after area locals attempted to pursue the fleeing gangsters who were riding a motorcycle after the robbery.

The motorcycle hit and killed the 9-year-old boy and injured another one aged 15 as the gang escaped the scene.

According to the police, the two thugs confronted a meeting of Coptic Orthodox Church pastors and injured one of the clergymen on the leg before grabbing unknown an amount of money from him.

ARRESTED

After robbing them, the gang jumped onto a motorcycle and sped off.

Members of the public, who heard a gunshot, managed to arrest one of the gangsters after motorist, who witnessed the incident, chased the motorcycle, hit it and knocked off the suspect.

The other suspect escaped on foot with the money they had stolen. Police recovered two mini Ceska pistols with seven rounds of ammunition from the suspect.

The police have launched a manhunt for the suspect on the run who they believe is a resident of an area called Kawangware.
