Has City Hall set aside Sh15m for Kidero’s internet connection?

City Hall has denied setting aside Sh15 million for internet connection in the office of the governor, Dr Evans Kidero, and his deputy, Mr Jonathan Mueke.
In a statement, the county government said money would be used for all offices.
The claim that was reported in a section of the media has generated criticisms from the public.
County ICT and e-Government executive Anne Lokidor said in the 2015/16 budget money has been allocated for internet connection in all their offices, City Hall Annex, offices in the 17 sub-counties and eight other satellite sites.
“While we welcome constructive criticism aimed at improving service delivery to city residents, we implore the media to cross-check facts before publication,” said Ms Lokidor.
