How Zuchu struggled to shed tears when shooting Utaniua hit
By Winnie OnyandoTanzanian singer Zuhura Othman Soud, better known by her stage name Zuchu, has shared a video of herself faking tears during the recording of Utaniua hit.
The video that was posted less than two hours ago has attracted more than 18.2K likes.
Donning a green dress, Zuchu is seen being assisted by video producers to put water on her eyes.
However, after the producers realized her face was not getting soaked as it should be, she was requested to do it herself.
The popular hitmaker then took a blue plastic bottle top and poured water on her eye after which she threw the bottle away.
In the second attempt, it seemed she managed to pull the fake tears through and the recording continued.
This is how she captioned the video, “Kupata machozi nayo ilikua Mtihani tukaona tuweke maji tu. Shkamoo kwa waigizaji wote mnaliaga vile na hata hamjaumizwa sio rahisi jamani. Nlikata na vitunguu ila wapii.”
The scene in the video required Zuchu to cry as she chops onions.
Standing at the widow while chopping onions, Tanzania hitmaker Diamond Platnumz was outside sympathizing with Zuchu who is to be married by someone else as per the song.
In just two days, the four-minute song had acquired 2 million views.
Diamond who is rumored to be romantically involved with her features in the song.
Utaniua is a mid-tempo R&B track that speaks to the beauty of the African continent. Through melodic harmonies and a driving beat, the track speaks to the many cultures and experiences of African people and the beauty of their life.
Initially, Zuchu hinted about the coming of this Utaniua song through her Instagram page a few days ago when he posted a teaser of the song and thus brought a new trend to her fans about his new arrival.
This is the first song from Zuchu for this year 2023 since she last did Kwi Kwi kwi in 2022.
