Huduma Centre services at GPO paralysed over unpaid bills

Hundreds of Kenyans who visited the Centre on Tuesday were turned away.
Employees manning the customer care desk assured visitors that the issue will be resolved by the end of the week.
When the Nation visited the Centre, the employees were idling on their desks while senior managers were engaged in meetings.
One of the employees told Nation that the electricity was disconnected on Monday.
“This is not an issue of this Centre, it is a long standing dispute that has affected the whole building,” said an employee.
Last year, the Centre went without electricity for days over unpaid bills
The source said Postal Corporation, owners of the building, have been urging the Huduma Centre and the other government offices housed in the building to pay for their bills.
