Juliani’s wife, Lilian Ng’ang’a advocates co-parenting responsibility
By Elizabeth NgigiLilian Ng’ang’a has offered valuable co-parenting advice to both fathers and mothers involved in the upbringing of their children.
In a recent social media post, the mother of one addressed the issue of deadbeat parents who neglect their parental duties.
“Someone is under fire for asking her baby’s father for child support. It’s bewildering how some people refuse to provide for their children and label the situation as ‘entrapment’ or ‘crazy baby mamas’.”
Lilian advised against letting personal drama affect the lives of children, emphasizing their innocence.
“The child is innocent; separate your personal drama and take care of your child! As they say, kids grow up and realize who the bad parent was! That’s why you see neglected parents in old age. I also don’t support extortion through child support. Do your part as a woman,” she wrote.
Lilian Ng’ang’a is married to rapper Juliani, who shares a child with actress Brenda Wairimu.
In September 2023, Juliani expressed gratitude towards his ex-partner Brenda Wairimu, acknowledging her supportive role in their co-parenting journey.
“It’s a people thing. The mother of my child is a good person. She wants the best for her child, and I don’t think she wants the worst for me. Because she wants the best for her child, then it’s automatic that she will go the extra mile to ensure that I see the child and spend time with him/her. Some things that I can’t do, she does,” Juliani said.
Juliani also acknowledged the challenges of co-parenting, especially when one parent is unable to contribute as much as the other. In such cases, seeking assistance can be a viable solution.
“Even if you write it down on paper, it’s still a person. If someone is supportive, they are supportive. She’s very supportive. There are days when you’re okay and can spend more time with the child.
So if you’re in a position to give at that time, just give. Forget about whether the other person will reciprocate or not. If you don’t have, then admit that you don’t have the capacity, and maybe you’ll be assisted by your parents or the child’s other parent,” he concluded.
