Kayole teens shoot and kill M-Pesa agent in daring robbery

Armed teenagers in Kayole shot and killed an M-Pesa agent on Saturday as his wife watched.

According to the deceased wife, who also runs a salon in the same premise, the two teenagers entered their shop posing as customers.

When her husband went to attend to them, they drew pistols and shot him twice on the chest.

They then accessed the shop’s counter, stole unknown amount of money and fled.

The man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

His body was taken to Kenyatta University morgue.

POLICE ON PATROL

In a separate shooting in Kayole, two suspected thugs were shot and killed by police officers on patrol on Sunday after members of the public raised alarm.

The suspects, who were part of a gang, were robing members of the public on Komarock bridge near Queen’s Way Club.

When challenged by police to surrender, they shot at the police and an exchange of gunfire ensued.

Police killed kill two suspects but a the third one escaped on foot. A homemade pistol and five rounds of ammunition were recovered.

In Eastleigh, a suspected thug was on Sunday shot and killed by police officers after he robbed a man of his iPhone 6 phone valued at Sh50,000.

MOTORCYCLE GANG

According to the victim, he was accosted by two men on a motorcycle who robbed him his phone. He raised alarm and police on patrol responded.

Police managed to shoot and kill one suspect as the other escaped towards CBD on a motor cycle.

A homemade gun with two rounds of ammunition and an iPhone were recovered at the scene.

The body was taken to city mortuary awaiting identification and autopsy.
