Gor Mahia striker, Jacob Keli, has apologised to the club’s fans for missing a crucial penalty in a league match on Sunday.

Keli’s penalty was easily stopped by Ushuru keeper Shaban Odhoji to deny Gor Mahia victory in a match that ended scoreless at the Nyayo Stadium.

“It was one of those days for me, nothing just went right,” the former Kenyan Premier League Golden boot winner told Nairobi News.

DISAPPOINTED

“I’m more disappointed than the fans. I feel sorry but I’m not so worried because I have been in such a situation before and know that I can put things straight,” the former Nkana FC and AFC Leopards player added.

Gor Mahia are currently short of striking options following a niggling injury to their top striker Jacques Tuyisenge.

The result against Ushuru halted new coach De Maria’s two match winning run since the Brazilian took over the coaching reigns at the popular club.
