Kenyan celebs with amazing chemistry who have been mistaken for lovers
By Freya WanjikuLights, camera, and a magical bond! In the dazzling world of television, there are certain celebrity pairings whose chemistry is simply electrifying. These stars grace our TV screens, captivating us with their undeniable connection, finishing each other’s sentences.
On the other hand, there are those who act together, setting our hearts ablaze with their captivating performances and palpable connection. They ignite the stage, leaving us to wonder; how can two people share such amazing chemistry without being lovers?
While it is still a bitter pill for some to swallow on how the duos are not romantically involved, here are some Kenyan celebrities whose chemistry sweeps us off our feet but are not in a relationship.
Fridah Mwaka and Lofty Matambo
They grace the NTV screens speaking and completing each other’s sentences in the Swahili language. They anchor news together and even host shows together.
To add icing on the cake, they refer to each other as ‘Pacha wangu’ (my twin). Their chemistry and friendship spring from way back, in 2014. Aside from work, they are business partners and do almost everything together.
But these two are not lovers it’s just an undeniable charisma and the ability to bring out the best in each other. In an exclusive interview with Nairobi News, Lofty shared that their rapport started off as a mentor-mentee relationship with him guiding Fridah through news anchoring.
Sheryl Gabriella and I am Kabugi
Mid-May, these artists revealed that they have never been in a romantic relationship.
In a video that they posted on their YouTube channel, the two said that they have been business partners for a long minute now and that their relationship is strictly work-related.
They further clarified that their chemistry has been enriched by them playing their roles well.
“As Kabugi and Sheryl we have never dated, or been a couple. We have been executing our characters so well that you guys think there is more but there is none,” she explained.
Nick Kwach and Aicy Stevens
While many assume that Kwach ‘amekaliwa’ by his ‘baby mama’ Aicy, the duo only replicates what they see and their fans’ feedback.
With their chemistry being bittersweet in the eyes of their fans, Kwach in an exclusive interview with Nairobi News shared that their baby mama skits are to show how co-parenting is hard sometimes.
“When we did the first video and posted on social media, some people thought it was a real-life scenario where we were airing our dirty linen in public,” he said.
But theirs is just work. Pure content creation.
Jeff Koinange and Victoria Rubadiri
The Citizen TV co-anchors will take up challenges together, dance and mash up words while anchoring the news.
Their confidence, articulation of words, combination, and how they deliver news can fool one into thinking they are romantically involved.
But no, these two only have a magnetic energy that leaves us with an indelible mark on our hearts. Their synergy is unmatched but theirs is just duty calls.
