Louis Otieno had introduced Careen as his wife – witness
By BENSON MATHEKAFormer television personality Louis Otieno had introduced the late Ms Careen Chepchumba as his wife to a car dealer, inquest into her death has been told.
Mr John Nderitu, a director at Subru Motors, narrated to a court on Thursday how Mr Otieno had introduced Ms Chepchumba to him as his wife when they had gone to purchase a car.
He said that Mr Otieno bought several cars from his company, including a Volkswagen Golf for the “wife”.
The witness produced a receipt of part of the payment bearing the names of Careen Kili Armstrong.
The former TV anchor’s full name is Louis Armstrong Otieno.
Mr Otieno was unable to pay for a Range Rover he had purchased on loan after Ms Chepchumba’s death. The vehicle was repossessed by the dealer and later sold.
In his testimony, Mr Otieno had denied having a romantic relationship with Careen
