Madoya FC, Mathare ERC highlight Sakaja Cup fixtures

The Sakaja Super Cup tournament resumes on October 28, 2023, for the third round of matches after a week long break.

At the Masinde Muliro Grounds in Huruma, Madoya FC will be first to the pitch against Julius Berger in a 10:00 am fixture in the Mathare sub county group matches.

This as Lula FC honours a date with Shantit FC as Wakanda play Comrade FC in a 2:00 pm fixture.

Later, Mlango FC will play Imara FC at the same venue.

Across the ridge at Mathare Depot grounds, Huruma Sports will entertain Moroto Sportiff on October 29, 2023 before Shillia FC takes on Mathare All-Stars.

Huruma Youth will, meanwhile, battle it out with Mathari Hospital before Marines FC play Shofco Mathare in the last match of the day.

Two matches to wind up the groups in Mathare sub-county with two fixtures against Pool FC against Mathare ERC and Faith Homes versus New Mathare FC on October 30, 2023.

In Kibra Sub County, Mashimoni All Stars will take on AQSA FC, Laini Saba United will face Casablanca FC as Interbase take play Kenya Science Ballers.

Katwekera All Stars will entertain Golf Course Karen FC in matches set to be played at Olympic Primary grounds.

Four matches will be played on Sunday 29th Ocober at Toi Primary grounds.

Kibera Golden will take on Boca Juniors while Spark Generation will squire it out with Uweza FC.

Kibera Arts will face Interdjinamory as Upper Karen FC renews its rivalry with Makina All-Stars.

In Dagoretti North Sub County, Kabiro youth will take on Siesta FC as Joyland plays Saints FC in the pool A fixtures set to be played at Gatina Primary grounds in Kawangware. Elsewhere, Protouch play Boca Juniors and Escalators play Mzuka FC in pool B. Pool C will have FIFA Best against Team Dasa with Classic playing Ikulu FC. Pool D matches will pit Kakamega United against Costarica FC while Hard Boys play Kile Soccer.

In Starehe Sub County, Nairobi Holding Unit battles Macmillan FC as Country Bus has an encounter with Kayaba United at Landmawe grounds tomorrow, Saturday. On the same grounds, Racecourse faces off with Kawasaki FC before FC Lion plays Ajax FC and Dragao faces off with Riverbank FC.

Umeme will play Ngara All Stars as Ziwani All Stars host Ngara Sportiff on Sunday at the Ziwani grounds. Pangani youth have a date with Bypass FC as TUK hammers battle it out with Kayaba sharks.

In Ruaraka Sub County, Lucky Summer Warriors will play Titans as Korogocho Titans face off with Korogocho Babes in a Korogocho slum derby that will be played at Babadogo grounds. Mature Flames play Ruaraka Sports as Lucky Summer All Stars battle Mathare North United.

Another mouth-watering encounter at Babadogo grounds will pit Korogocho United against Babadogo United. GSU will have their work cut out against St John as Sinai FC play against Mathare North Youth at Drive In primary school.

All 17 sub-counties will have a total of eight matches on the cards during the three days of action-packed football action as the group stages of the Sakaja Super Cup tournament begin to take shape.

The Sakaja Super Cup kicked off with action bringing light to Nairobi grounds as teams battle it out for their chance to advance in group stages.

Winners of the tournament sponsored by the Sakaja Foundation in partnership with the Nairobi City County government and Football Kenya Federation will win Sh3 million with the runners-up pocketing Sh2 million. Third-place finishers in this tournament, aimed at exposing talents at the grassroots, will take home Sh1 million.
