Last week, a section of Jubilee MPs accused Tanzania President John Pombe Magufuli of conspiring with the National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga to rig the upcoming election.
Speaking during a caravan dubbed ‘Mbele Iko Sawa’ to drum support for Jubilee re-election in Tharaka-Nithi County, MPs, Moses Kuria (Gatundu), Muthomi Njuki (Chuka/Igambang’ombe) Mburi Muiru (Tharaka) and Tharaka-Nithi women representative Beatrice Nkatha said President Magufuli should allow Kenyans to exercise their democratic rights without inteference.
Mr Kuria said Mr Magufuli was helping Nasa to set a parallel tallying centre to that of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to declare Mr Odinga a winner.
“President Magufuli should tell Kenyans what exactly is his role in NASA campaign,”said Mr Kuria.
