Nairobi police station to auction goats and sheep
By Nyaboga KiageThree goats and one sheep are set to be auctioned by Kayole Police Station. According to a gazette notice, the herbivorous are amongst motor vehicles, motorbikes and scrap metals that have been put on auction.
A total of 16 vehicles and motor cycles which lying idle at the police station will be auctioned.
The owners of the listed animals and goods have subsequently advised to salvage them before the lapse of the 30-day deadline.

The company that will be tasked with auctioning the vehicles, goods and livestock is Astorion Auctioneers.
Nairobi News has established that the auctioneering company has been partnering with the National Police Service to auction items.
Nairobi Central Police Station, located in the heart of the Central Business District (CBD), is also planning to auction motor vehicles and motorbikes.

This is according to a Kenya Gazette notice which was issued on Friday, March 3, 2023 by the National Police Service.
Similarly, the station has also given a 30-day deadline for the owners to pick the motor vehicles and motorbikes failure to which they will be auctioned. About 70 uncollected vehicles are lying at the police station’s yard.
Auctioneering usually take place whenever goods, motor vehicles over stay in a police station without being claimed.
