Passaris, Shebesh go bare knuckle at Nairobi Woman Rep debate
By NAIRA HABIBFour candidates eyeing the Nairobi Woman Representative seat faced off in debate on Monday night at the KICC.
The four went bare knuckle on each other as each tried to outsmart the other.
The candidates are Rahab Ndambuki (Wiper), Winnie Wainaina (PNU), Rachel Shebesh (Jubilee Party) and Esther Passaris (ODM).
Ms Shebesh put Ms Passaris on the spot over the disruption of her meeting in the city centre.

“Nataka kuomba rafiki wangu wa dhati Passaris, ambaye nilipokuwa hospitali alinitembelea. She is a leader, I am a leader, na tunauza sera na hiyo ndio itatuchagua. Lakini juzi muliona kwa TV mikutano yangu ilivurugwa and as far as I know ilikuwa Passaris ametumana. Na kama sio yeye alifanya, naomba aombe msamaha on behalf of chama yake, kwa hawa wamama walichapwa,” said Ms Shebesh.
Ms Passaris distanced herself from the incident, but took a swing at Ms Shebesh on why she is handing out bursaries yet schools have been closed.
Shule zinafungwa unapeana bursaries, ebu nieleze.”
