Pastor’s body found dumped in maize plantation
By Nyaboga KiagePolice in Machakos County are investigating the mysterious death of a pastor whose body was discovered in a maize plantation on Tuesday.
According to the police, the maize plantation, where the body of Pastor Charles Kituku of the Anglican Inland Church (AIC) was found, is less than 25 kilometers from his home.
At the scene, police officers recovered a screw driver, which is believed to be the murder weapon, and huge rocks besides the body. While investigations into the incident have been launched, no arrests have been made.

“My brother was fine until Monday (May 8, 2023) and he was inside his house. How he ended up in the maize farm remains a mystery,” Mr Peter Muthusi, a brother of the deceased said.
The body of the deceased was taken to Kangundo Level Four hospital in Machakos County.
The family has meanwhile revealed that a brother of the deceased pastor was killed by unknown assailants in 2020 in Nairobi and the matter remains unsolved to date.

The discovery of the pastor’s body comes barely a day after another man was murdered in Mukuru Kwa Njenga slums within Nairobi County.
Mr Wycliff Obara was attacked and hacked to death on Sunday (May 6, 2023) while he was in his house.
The deceased is believed to have been murdered for exposing drug dealers in the slum in what the police believe was case of revenge mission.
