Police investigate four deaths in Nairobi
By Nyaboga KiagePolice in Nairobi are investigating separate incidents where three people were found dead inside their houses.
In the first incident, a man identified as Mr John Dimba Otiro, 43, was found dead inside his house by his neighbours.
The neighbours told police they saw Mr Otiro enter his house but he never left there which prompted them to peep through the windows and see whether he was okay.
When officers entered the house they found that the bodies did not have any physical injuries.
The officers took the body to City Mortuary where it is lying awaiting a postmortem.
In yet another incident, a man was found dead inside his house located in Kileleshwa area, Dagoretti North Sub-County in Nairobi.
Mr Josiah Muiga, 45, did not report to work on Monday and Tuesday plus he was neither responding to calls nor text messages.
His colleagues then made the decision to go and check him in his house only to find him dead. He was living in an apartment located along Kandara Road.
Police said that the body did not have any physical injuries at the time it was discovered by his colleagues.
In yet another incident, a 30-year-old man committed suicide in his house located in Lunga Lunga Slums, Nairobi County.
The body of Bernard Kiprono Ngeno was found hanging on a corridor in one of the residential houses.
Police who arrived at the scene said they found the body hanging from the truss of the roof using a green nylon rope.
Meanwhile, police are also investigating an incident where a five-year-old minor died of suspected poisoning after inhaling carbon monoxide from a jiko.
Three of the deceased siblings were also found unconscious and rushed to Mbagathi Hospital where they have been admitted.
The mother in a statement told Nairobi News that she asked one of the siblings to light a jiko and prepare supper.
She then went to do some shopping only to come back after two hours and find all the children unwell.
She raised an alarm and the neighbours rushed for her help and rushed the four to the hospital where the five-year-old boy was pronounced dead on arrival.
