Police link two women at Galileo Lounge to Kabete MP’s murder
By NAIROBI NEWS REPORTERDetectives investigating the murder of Kabete MP George Muchai visited the Galileo Lounge on Monday, where the slain legislator had spent an evening with his family before he and his aides were gunned down.
The visit to the Galileo was the fourth by the investigators since the murder of the MP on Saturday morning while on his way home.
The investigators are interested in two young women who were captured on camera sitting near where the MP and his family sat.
CCTV FOOTAGE
The women, the footage shows, arrived before the family. One of them appeared to be keeping an eye on the family and both left just before Muchai’s family did.
The head of Criminal Investigations in Nairobi, Mr Nicholas Kamwende, is heading the team conducting the investigations.
Officers from the Homicide section of the Serious Crimes Unit at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have also joined the team.
One officer told the Nairobi News that the CCTV footage obtained from the county government cameras is not “dependable”.
