Body of minor reported missing found floating inside well

“The body was found with stab wounds in the stomach and chest and a suspect who was seen fleeing from the scene is being sought,” a police report seen by Nairobi News read in part.

For the last three weeks, locals in Mathare have been raising concerns over a knife-wielding gang that is giving them sleepless nights.

The locals said that so daring are members of the gang that they even carry out their evil operations within the day.

Mr Adamson Bungei, the Nairobi County police boss, sent a stern warning to suspected robbers operating within Mathare saying that their days were numbered.

“I want to warn them that we shall catch up with them and they will regret their actions. It is high time they obey the law and leave people to live in harmony,” he said.

The body of the man was taken to the Nairobi City Mortuary awaiting an autopsy.

Meanwhile, in Kawangware, police officers saved a suspected robber from the wrath of an angry mob.

Nairobi News has established that the suspect had snatched a phone from a lady when he was cornered by bodaboda guys.

A mob built up at the scene and started beating him up as they threatened to lynch him.

However, this did not materialize as police officers who were on patrol noticed the commotion, rushed to the scene, and saved him.
