Prophet Lovy Logomba, once a secular artist and now a preacher has offered candid advice to young men, discouraging those struggling financially from entering into marriage.

The preacher, who exchanged vows with Prophetess Maggy Soas in a captivating outdoor wedding in California on May 20, 2023, highlighted the importance of financial stability and self-discipline in marital relationships.

“Young men, if you don’t know where you are going, don’t get married. Where are you gonna lead her to? If you can’t provide for yourself, don’t get married,” emphasized Prophet Lovy during the sermon.

He underscored the potential challenges that arise from a lack of knowledge and stressed the importance of a man’s ability to protect, provide, and secure his partner.

“How are you gonna protect her? Provide for her and secure her? If you have no future projects, don’t get married because a woman is a helper. If you have nothing going on, what is she gonna help you with? If you don’t have self-discipline, don’t marry. You are going to have false expectations for her that you yourself cannot achieve,” he continued.

Prophet Lovy also touched upon the significance of honesty and timing in relationships.

“Listen, take your time. Marriage is sweet at the right time. Like my brother Aj always says, marriage is like a credit card; you use that thing right, it’s gonna get your credit score high. You use it wrong, and it’s gonna go all the way down,” he added with a laugh.

Prophet Lovy had recently revisited his own experience of divorce, shedding light on the challenges faced by pastors in marriage.

Reflecting on his past marriage to Idah Onyango, daughter of Kenyan Hollywood actor Benjamin Onyango, Prophet Lovy spoke openly about the difficulties that led to their divorce in 2017.

He attributed the challenges to the delicate balance between devotion to God and maintaining a healthy marital relationship.

“Do you know why pastors fail in marriage? Men of God whose marriages die? I’m one of those people who went through that. I got divorced. I’ll tell you why it happens. God has never told a man or a woman ‘go to your wife, go to your husband, you’re spending too much time with me’… because God also lusts after you. He wants you for himself,” explained Prophet Lovy.
