RIP: Footballer who was sprouting in Europe buried

Just when he was transitioning from playing football to coaching, Anthony Wandunga Mwangi alias Tedo breathed his last at the age of 35.

Tedo rose from Dandora in Nairobi and played for Mathare Youth Sports Association and later moved to Greece where he played for the Agios Stafanos Football Club. He later played in Finland for the IF Gnitsan club.

At the time of his demise, he was coaching young footballers in Finland. He had also founded the Dino Foundation Kenya, a sports-for-development organisation.

A father of one, he died on May 15, just five days after his 35th birthday, and his burial was scheduled for Saturday, June 8.
