Romain Virgo returns to Kenya to thrill reggae fans

Kenyan reggae can look forward to what promises to be a great performance by visiting Jamaican reggae artiste Romain Virgo on Saturday at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi.

Romain, who jetted into the country on Wednesday evening, will be star attraction at the Guinness Football Fan Zone experience concert.

Also lined up for concert are Kenyan artsites Khaligraph Jones, Fena Gitu, Jua Kali, Timmy Tdat and Nai Boi.

SOUL PROVIDER

Romain, who is famed for his Soul Provider hit, is on his second tour of Kenya.

“I was a little beat nervous the first time I came here to perform because I did not what kind of people to expect. But I feel home now, I fell in love with the food and the people here as well, that’s why I really wanted to come back and I’m happy an opportunity presented itself,” Romain said on Thursday in a pre-concert press briefing.

FOOTBALL CLINICS

The Guinness Fan Zone Football watching experience will also give fans a chance to interact with football legend Rio Ferdinand who will also take part in the event.

Romain will interact with Kenyan football fans alongside former Manchester United defender.

The retired English player will also conduct football clinics in Kenya and mentor young footballers during the Guinness interactive session.
