Sabina Chege attributes success to Pastor Ng’ang’a’s church, promises gratitude visit
By Elizabeth NgigiPolitician Sabina Chege expressed her gratitude to Pastor James Ng’ang’a, attributing her success to the Neno Evangelism Center during the wedding ceremony of his daughter, Grace Neema Wanjiku Maina.
Wanjiku, born to Pastor James Ng’ang’a and his late wife, Esther, is the second of four children.
Addressing congregants at the ceremony, Sabina, who was recently ousted as the National Assembly’s Deputy Minority Whip, credited Ng’ang’a’s church for setting her up for success.
“I was a member of this church, and that’s where my blessings came from,” Sabina declared.
She acknowledged her connection to Neno Evangelism Center and sang a worship song before extending her thanks to Pastor Ng’ang’a.
Although she admitted not attending the church recently, Sabina promised to return to express her gratitude.
“I would not forget to come here where they remember me…I will come back to say thank you,” she assured.
To Ng’ang’a, Sabina reiterated, “I have not yet come back to say thank you because my blessings came from this church, I’ll come back.”
In a lighthearted moment, Ng’ang’a humorously suggested that Sabina should return with KSh 3 million.
“You just bring us two million, one to apologize and one to accompany the two million,” he jokingly remarked.
Sabina encouraged the congregants to continue fellowshipping at the church, emphasizing that it was where they would find breakthroughs.
“You are in the right place…on this altar, you find favor…on this altar Mungu anafungua milango (God opens doors),” she concluded.
The controversial man of God has been vocal about the importance of marriage.
In one of his controversial clips, Ng’ang’a compared single people who live alone to mad people.
“Wale hamjaoa muoe haraka. Acheni ujinga wenu hiyo. Mnaenda kukaa kwa nyumba peke yenu kama wazimu. (Those who are not yet married get married and stop the nonsense of living alone like mad people).
The 70-year-old father of many said getting married is a very personal decision.
