‘Single Kiasi’ actor Michael Munyoki ‘proposes’ to Nikita Kering – WATCH

Actor Michael Munyoki surprised attendees at Showmax’s glamorous re-launch event at the Sankara Hotel on May 8 by playfully “proposing” to renowned songbird Nikita Kering.

The star-studded gathering was attended by notables from the film industry, all arriving in style to celebrate Showmax’s relaunch.

The atmosphere of the evening was heightened by Nikita’s enchanting acapella performance, which captivated the audience.

Following her performance, Okello Max and Costar Ojwang delivered a lively rendition of ‘Asembo’ that got everyone on their feet.

In a memorable moment, Munyoki, known for his role in “Single Kiasi”, interrupted Kering’s performance with a playful “proposal” to the delight of the crowd, introducing her hit song “Ex” with the question “Will you marry me, Nikita?”.

Nikita, keeping the mood light, invited Munyoki to pop the question on stage, adding a delightful twist to the evening’s festivities.

Without hesitation, Munyoki promptly joined Nikita on stage, on bended knee.

The courageous gesture elicited laughter from the audience.

Who is Michael Munyoki?

Munyoki is known for his outstanding work on various projects such as “Groove Theory,” “Waliobaki,” and “Auntie Boss” among others.

His recent directorial endeavour, “Click Click Bang,” achieved remarkable success and garnered multiple accolades, including nominations in four categories at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCAs).

Munyoki, alongside collaborator Philip Karanja and screenwriter Abel Mutua, has propelled Kenyan cinema onto the international stage with its compelling storytelling and creative vision.

Currently portraying the character of Tedz, the tech genius, in an ongoing project, Haki Mwitu, Munyoki continues to captivate audiences with his versatile performances and unwavering dedication to his craft.
