Two lions strayed from the Nairobi National Park on Monday and were spotted in Ngong Road forest along the Southern Bypass.

Traffic police officers patrolling the road sighted the lions  at around 10am and alerted Nairobi National Park.

The lions are reported to have been walking near the fence of the forest between the intersection towards Karen and the Southern Bypass next to the Kenya Forest Service field station.

A Kenyan Wildlife Service (KWS) search team is currently on the ground.

In case of any information, the public may reach KWS the soonest possible using our toll free line number
0800 597 000 or email communications@kws.go.ke.

This is the second time in 10 days that lions have strayed from the park.
