Woman’s torso found stuffed in a sack in Kayole – PHOTOS
By HILARY KIMUYU, @hilarykimuyuPolice have recovered the torso of a young female that was stuffed in a sack and dumped next to a kiosk in Kayole.
Police have linked the torso to the hands, head and legs that were found on Monday afternoon in a black plastic bag thrown in a thicket near Fadhili Primary School, in Umoja II estate.
The torso was found by the owner of the kiosk, located near Bee centre on Kayole’s Spine Road, who later reported to the police.
Police suspect the victim was killed a few days ago and stored in a refrigerator before her chopped body parts were dumped.
Haroun Mbaka, the owner of the kiosk, told Nairobi News that he had returned from the market at around 10.30am when he noticed the sack lying next to his premise.
On inspection, he found that it was heavy and called someone to help him check what was inside.
“Inside the sack there was a well wrapped black plastic bag. I asked my girl to give me something to cut it open and upon cutting we saw that it was part of a human body,” he narrated.
According to Mr Mbaka, there was no foul smell emanating from the sack.
Buru Buru DCIO Jeremiah Ikiao confirmed to Nairobi News that they are linking the torso to the other body parts found in Umoja. They have however not yet established the identity of the woman.
The torso was taken to City Mortuary.
