VIDEO – Raila drops new hit
By Hillary KimuyuRaila Odinga has made his debut in the showbiz industry after he was featured in a song by popular musician Emmanuel Musindi titled Leo ni Leo remix song.
In the video, the seasoned politician, who is gunning to succed President Uhuru Kenyatta ahead of the August 2022 polls, is seen performing alongside the musician in front of a troupe of backup dancers while clad in a bomber jacket of Kenyan flag colours.
The popular hit has morphed into being a theme song for Odinga’s campaign rallies in the country.
In the 3 minutes and 18 seconds song, Raila later ushers in the second stanza of the song with a heavy baritone tone before the other band members join in.
The Azimio La Umoja leader later then leaves vocal duty and retreats to the background to showcase his moves.

In another take, Raila can be seen playing football with his grandsons.
The song whose audio was recorded at FP Records in Nairobi by upcoming producer Festus Papai aka Papa FP was shot in Karen and Kawangware areas in Nairobi and the video is directed by Nezzoh Montana.
Raila is currently in India with his daughter, and according to the shoot’s music director Majimaji, Winnie is the one who got his father aboard the project.
Reports suggest this is one of the four songs the politician will collaborate with artists including singer Trio Mio before the August elections.
In his campaigns, Raila has been centering on the youth pledging that if elected he will help in transforming their economic fortunes.
Raila joins other politicians, including Uganda President Yoweri Museveni, who released hits during the electioneering period.
