There is an auction spree at the office of the Deputy President.

The office, which is currently occupied by Rigathi Gachagua, on September 26, 2023, announced the auction of government vehicles and other assorted office equipment.

The notice published in the media listed a number of items that were up for grabs. They include; unserviceable motor vehicles, old tyres, assorted building materials, furniture, and assorted scrap metals.

The auction will take place on October 6, 2023, from 10am at Harambee House Annex Car Parking which is located in Nairobi.

All those interested in applying have been asked to pay a refundable deposit of Sh50,000 at the Cash Office within the same building.

“Those interested in making the bids are advised to visit the office to access the full list of items that have been put on the hammer,” the announcement read in part.

The company that will conduct the auction of the items is Astorion Auctioneers.

One can also seek any information and clarification on the sale of the items at the DP’s office.

Equally, the same notice advised the bidders to go to the office of the DP and make inspections of the items that are on sale.

Documents that contain the tender and its details can be found in the same office on the first floor of the building.

The time to make the inspection is from 8am to 5pm on every day of the week apart from weekends.

The auctioneers should also ensure they complete documents which should be handed to the office of the DP inside a sealed envelope that contains a reference number of the item one needs.

The applications which should be handed in before October 9, 2023, will be opened on the auctioneering date.
