Why three police stations rejected pastor Elizabeth Wanjiru’s body
By Nairobi News ReporterIt has emerged that gospel singer Mirugi Dishon took his lover’s body to three police stations in a bid to report her death but officers there refused to take the report.
According to media reports, Elizabeth Wanjiru left her house in Nakuru and traveled to Mirugi’s home in Maziwa, Nairobi.
She had planned to gift her lover a suit and upon arrival, she found the house and clothes dirty and decided to tidy up.
Mirugi said that he left her in the house and set off for Thika road, as per information recorded in the OB number registered as 28-18/03/2023 of Kiamumbi police station.
Hours later, he tried reaching out to his lover back at home but her phone was not going through. He returned home and found her allegedly having taken out her life with a bed sheet that was dangling from his wardrobe.

He untied the body and took it to the Jacaranda maternity hospital but the doctors there refused to take it in since she was already dead. They instructed him to report the case to the Kiamumbi police station but the officers there instructed him to go to Kahawa West police station.
There the script was the same as the two police stations. The officers then referred him to the Kasarani police station but they still rejected the body. All officers refused to take in the body since Mirugi had removed it from where she had died.
They all told him that he could have reported first and let the police remove the body. Hours later he took the body to Kenyatta University Hospital, Teaching, Referral and Research (KUHTRR).
The musician returned to Kasarani police station on Sunday to record a statement about Elizabeth’s death, accompanied by DCI homicide detectives who have taken over the investigations.
