Woman dies mysteriously while in bed with her husband
By Nyaboga KiagePolice in Embu are investigating an incident in which a woman died while in bed with her husband. According to the police, the deceased had injuries on her head and knees, in what the police believe is a case of domestic violence.
The woman’s husband, whose identity is yet to be revealed, told the police that he left his wife at a pub in Kawanjara area. The man told the police that his wife arrived home drunk and injured, prompting him to call the mother-in-law to inform her of what had transpired.

“I don’t know what happened since we differed with the woman while drinking at a local pub within Kawanjara area. I left her there and headed back home,” the man told the police.
After he informed the mother-in-law, the man called the police who rushed to the scene and took the body to Tenri Ena Funeral Home.

The incident comes barely a day after Kenyan rally driver, Asad Khan, who died in a suspected case of domestic violence, was buried. The case is currently in court with fellow rally driver, Maxine Wahome, who was Mr Khan’s girlfriend at the center of the investigations.
Mr Khan died on December 20, 2022 at Avenue Hospital days after his admission at the facility for treatment.
The deceased was admitted in hospital after suffering serious injuries during the incident that happened at his Kileleshwa house.
