Anerlisa Muigai: 2022 was not an easy year for me

By Winnie Mabel December 30th, 2022 2 min read

Keroche Breweries, billionaire heiress and Chief Executive Officer of Nero Company Limited, took to her Instagram stories to reveal that 2022 had not been an easy year for her.

In her Instagram stories, where she shared a video of a speaker talking about family, Anerlisa captioned it, saying that God had made the year seem fine, but it wasn’t.

“2022 was not an easy year, but God made it seem fine. I would like to thank a few people who made my life better in one way or another.

First, I start with my mum, Ummul, Fatema, Sarah, Jayne Stylist and Diana. I hardly met this other lady and disliked the spotlight, but Miriam, you came through in ways I never expected. All of you ladies know exactly why you meant the most to me in 200. God bless you all,” posted Anerlisa on December 28, 2022.

While she did not elaborate on what was difficult for her, it is deducible that it could have something to do with her sister’s death as the festive season makes people miss their family members- especially those who passed on.

Her sister died in May 2022 in a tragic accident that Anerlisa has yet to come to terms with, considering the events surrounding the death.

Additionally, Anerlisa also intimated that one of the annoying things in her 2022 year was another company attempting to use the name of one of her products to market its product.

“You can’t be naming water Life Still Water in 2022, yet we named our water that back in 2018. We, Nero Company Limited, are shocked by how many people are copying every idea we have implemented despite us patenting them,” complained Anerlisa.

Finally, another thing that could have made her 2022 difficult was the restarted conversations surrounding her short-lived marriage to Tanzanian singer Ben Pol when she finally announced that she was divorced.

This began an online war of words between the couple as Ben Pol claimed he did not know that the divorce had been finalized or that there had been proceedings in court.

The whole divorce opened up a painful can of worms for Anerlisa, considering their marriage ended on claims of disrespect and infidelity.
