When anti-IEBC protesters came face to face with police brutality – PHOTOS
Anti-IEBC demonstrators on Monday came face to face with police brutality as the service continues to test their newly acquired firepower ahead of next year’s general election.
Cornered protesters were clobbered by police using clubs, with at least one sustaining a deep cut on his forehead.
Police then lobbed teargas canisters to disperse the demonstrators with the newly acquired water cannons shooting a high-velocity stream of water into the scampering crowd.
A man was clobbered into unconsciousness by four police officers who chased him for more than 50 metres.
The unlucky protester tripped on a kerb and and that is when all hell broke loose.
Four police officers are seen taking turns to clobber him, two with clubs before two others kick him between his legs.

He was left lying on the ground and his state is still unclear.
Cord leader Raila Odinga led the pack in condemning what he termed as undue force by police, but vowed to soldier on.
“Despite the use of undue force by police, our peaceful pickets shall continue every week until the IEBC is reformed,” he tweeted.
Homa Bay County Women’s Rep Gladys Wanga also weighed in.
