AP charged with stripping 16 year-old student
An administration police officer was among the suspects charged with stripping a Form three student naked for wearing a short skirt in Nairobi’s Kayole estate.
Corporal Christopher Gathara was charged alongside Samwel Maina Ngige, a tout, and jointly with others not before the court.
The charge states that on November 23, 2014, at Kayole estate, they indecently assaulted the 16 year old who they allegedly accosted inside a bus.
Mr Gathara faced a second charge of assaulting Ms Patriciah Nkatha Mbae who tried to shield the student from her attackers.
They have been each released on Sh 50,000 bond with surety of similar amount.
The suspects appeared before Makadara chief magistrate Emily Ominde.
The case will be heard on February 9 2015.
