An apology to Donald B. Kipkorir
The Nairobi News today unreservedly apologises to lawyer Donald B. Kipkorir for understating the value of his new Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) – by a whopping Sh14 million.
Mr Kipkorir has come out to clarify that his new machine is actually worth Sh24 million ($240,000) and not Sh10 million as we had reported earlier in the week.
The flamboyant legal mind recently uploaded a photo of his new toy – a Range Rover HSE 2016-, which we assumed to be a 2014 model and therefore worth Sh10 million.
This angered Mr Kipkorir. And in a rejoinder, he says his new ride is actually worth more than double that figure.
He wrote; “There is a whole world of difference between my two Range Rovers: one is Range Rover HSE 2009 which I have been having and the new one Range Rover Sport HSE 2016 that has just arrived and is custom made exclusively… My new RR is over $240,000 (Sh24 million) and they (Nairobi News) can confirm from the sole importers RMA…”
