Ashley’s wins case against dethroned Miss World Kenya 2016
A court has dismissed a case filed by former Miss World Kenya 2016 Roshanara Ebrahim that challenged a decision to strip her of the title in August.
Ms Ebrahim has sued the Miss World Kenya franchise and its proprietor Terry Mungai to demand for an apology and reversal of the decision since she was not informed of the purported dethronement.
She also insisted she had not breached any code of conduct and has conducted herself in a manner consistent with her status.
But a statement sent by Ms Mungai, the judge dismissed the suit as lacking any legal basis.
“Am happy to state that the court was not swayed by all the theatrics that had preceded the case and that justice has prevailed in the end amidst all the false narratives and claims that had been propagated in the print and electronic media,” said Mrs Terry Mungai in a statement.
Ms Evelyn Njambi, the runners up, was elevated as Miss World Kenya 2016 after Ms Ebrahim was dethroned.
